Savoring America’s Favorite Pastime With Local Ballplayer

Residents at The Manor at Yorktown delighted in hosting former Major League Pitcher and Pitching Coach, Joe Kerrigan. Welcoming Joe, the brother of Manor associate, Ed Kerrigan, residents and associates mingled with the former Major League player and coach, appreciating the opportunity to reminisce about America’s favorite pastime with the local star.
A former pitcher with both the Baltimore Orioles and the Montreal Expos, Joe shared many of his exciting memories as a player. He also talked about his post-playing days and his experiences as a Manager with the Boston Red Sox and his stints as a Pitching Coach with local favorite Philadelphia Phillies as well as the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos. Before answering questions from the residents, Joe described his current role as a consultant with NBC Sports and a pitching advisor for a Sports Talk Radio Show.
“We hit a home run here today,” commented one baseball enthusiast. “It was great fun to hear about Joe’s varied experiences in Major League Baseball.”
